Sketch Pitch #0
Trying one of the drawing challenges for Inktober month + short tale!
Happy October!
I couldn’t resist continuing the Calmtober Arts I drew from the:
You know that feeling when an idea gets boiling, and you just have to let out all the steam? Yeah, I call it a curse… because you can’t stop drawing until you see it to the end.
For this prompt, I decided to combine multiple elements from the list into series of illustrations. And because I love including stories with my art, I’ve written a simple tale (with a semi-nursery rhyme) about two individuals: a bear suffering from a curse and a librarian struggling from writer’s block. Together, they experience an unexpected cure.
In a way, I can relate to the librarian character.
For the past months, I’ve been working on my novel, and I’ve hit a point where my ideas are starting to wither. Maybe living in a dry autumn climate has a way of sapping away inspiration too—blame the weather! (laughs). Hence, I added a rainy weather to the story.
I love drawing rainy scenes.
Try spotting the prompt elements in the illustrations and writings below! Enjoy…
Love how you can break any curse just by drinking wine at night, hassle-free solution 😆
Wow! so awesome. Loved the story & illustrations (esp. the bird in the last one)
