But yooo, so happy that you're doing well and no shame with the other interests. Been a fun journey to follow and getting stuck on one project can be tiring. Might shoot for those e-inks too someday or else my eyes will also become something... 😵💫
Ooohh, so excited for Witches and Wine to return 😍. And, hey, don’t beat yourself up. It’s okay to have seasons of art that are outside the norm. That’s how we grow! For example, I just tried stamp carving for the first time. Epic fail. Went waaaay too intricate for my ability and the meager tools the intro kit came with. But, it was as a cool experience and experiment!
I totally get it! I was working on very detailed, awesome illustrations at the beginning of the year with my iPad but I had to take a break from it because of eye strain and also, in a way, I went back to doing more traditional art. In this fast paced world we do feel the need/pressure of having to produce all the time amazing content and it shouldn't be that way, I want to enjoy doing art without feeling that pressure.
This article...resonates with me so much!!! I think focusing on 1-2 things, dropping everything else for months, then cycling back through those abandoned things, is something that I'm guilty of too 🥲 There are just too many interesting things to get to, and only one brain to focus on all of them....
This article feels like a behind-the-scenes look into what artist life is like, and I wonder if it's also generating empathy within other readers of this Substack. I'll definitely have to be EXTRA-patient for the next Witches & Wine chapters.
🧐 not me trying to read that script heh

The more I hear of your experience with e-ink tablets the more curious I am!
Yeah, once you’re down the rabbit hole of e-ink, there’s no getting out! XD

Thank you for all you do!

I'm glad I'm not alone in this! I think we sometimes forget we only have one pair of hands too, I kno I do XD
I'm definitely going to make more buffer chapters, so hopefully there won't be anymore long waits.
